Back to school, back to book clubs! Join one of our junior book clubs this year.  Three new book clubs for children grades 3rd-8th grade.

Tuesdays at the Castle

Bonkers for Books junior book club for 3rd and 4th graders: September title “Tuesdays at the Castle” by Jessica Day George  Meeting Date: Wednesday, October 7  4-5pm.

Penderwicks
The Page Turners junior book club for 5th and 6th graders: September title “The Penderwicks”  by Jeanne Birdsall Meeting date:  Wednesday, October 14 4-5pm.

Junior book club for 7th & 8th graders: September title “Found” by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Meeting date: Wednesday, October 21 4-5pm.

TAG: Teen Advisory Group March 25th

The library is excited to announce the formation of a new teen activity group@ the library TAG! Mont Vernon teens in grades 9-12 are invited to join this young adult activity group and have their voices heard.  Members will be involved in book collection development for the Young Adult section and teen programming.  TAG will meet the last Wed. of every month from 6-7pm.  Meeting dates: March 25th, April 29th and May 27th.  SHS volunteer hours will be awarded to members.  Pizza will be served!!

Spring Storytime

The sun is shining, the snow is melting and it’s almost time for Spring Storytime! Join us on Thursdays for
an hour of stories and crafts with JoAnn Kitchel.
Preschool children ages 3-5. Morning and afternoon sessions available.

Tree Lighting Craft at the Daland Memorial Library

Come to the Library on Saturday November 29th to create a Holiday Lantern just in time for the Mont Vernon tree lighting ceremony later that evening! Craft times are 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm. Ages 6 and up.
Registration is required, spaces are limited!
