It’s time to clean up Mont Vernon!  The Girls Scouts of Mont Vernon are organizing Town Clean Up this year just in time for Earth Day. Stop by the Daland Memorial Library on Saturday, April 20th & 21st to check in with the Girl Scouts for FREE GARBAGE BAGS & GLOVES. Let the troops know what roads you’ve cleaned up to help fill in their Mont Vernon map and pick up a SEED BOMB GIVEAWAY while supplies last! Can’t wait to start?  Blue trash bags will be available during open hours at the Daland Memorial Library and at the McCollom Building. Please bring all collected trash to the transfer station as a resident. Thanks for helping keep our town clean!

The Library Peep Diorama Contest is back!

Drop off your Peep diorama on Friday, March 29th between 2- 6pm for display on Saturday, March 30th. Stop in on Saturday, March 30th to vote for your favorites!

Prizes for the “Peeples Choice”, Best in Show (ages 5-12), Best in Show (13-18), Best Show (Adult/Family). Have fun creating!

If you love cookbooks, cooking, and eating (and talking about cookbooks, cooking, and eating), this is the group for you! The Cookbook Club will choose one cookbook a month to read and meet at the end of the month for a potluck meal at the library. Members are asked to pick one recipe and make it for the group to taste. Cookbooks available to borrow at the library. Please be sure to let us know what you’re cooking!

March Meeting: Tuesday, March 26th 6:30pm. The March Title: Chef’s Choice

Bring your favorite comfort food recipe from a favorite cookbook to share.  Library will provide the the tableware and water.

SAU 39 Meet & Greet @ the Library

The Mont Vernon members of the Souhegan Cooperative School Board in conjunction with the Mont Vernon School Board, invite all residents to a special Meet and Greet event at the Daland Memorial Library. The event aims to foster open dialogue between community members and board representatives, providing an opportunity for residents to discuss pertinent topics and gain insights into the upcoming March Ballot.

 

Scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, the Meet and Greet will feature members of both school boards who will be available to engage with attendees, address concerns, and answer questions regarding the budget and warrant articles slated to appear on the March  2024 Ballot. This event serves as a platform for residents to voice their opinions, seek clarifications, and provide feedback concerning their school system.

 

Light refreshments will be served, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for constructive discussions. The event provides an excellent opportunity for residents to meet their school board representatives, build connections with fellow community members, and stay informed about key issues impacting the local educational landscape.
