Adult Book Clubs
The Daland Memorial Library offers four Adult Book Clubs. There is no attendance requirement for any group – attend meetings that are of interest. Books are available to borrow at the library. New members always welcome! If you have any questions about book clubs, please call the library at 673-7888.
Morning Book Discussion Group – Meets the 1st Monday each month at 10:00AM . The group reads a mix of contemporary fiction and non-fiction titles. Group will meet in person.
Monday, February 13th : “Cloud Cuckoo Land” by Anthony Doerr
Black Books Matter- Meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM by Zoom . This book club focuses on books by black authors and race relations.
Thursday, February 9th: Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson
Just the Classics Book Club – Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm in the library . This book group is focused on reading classic titles selected by group members.
Thursday, February 16th: “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath
Cookbook Club Winter Edition– “The New England Soup Factory Cookbook” by Marlorie Druker and Clara Silverstein
Pick up a copy of “New England Soup Factory” by Clara Silverstein at the library and claim your soup recipe!Cooks are to bring a hot pot/crockpot of soup with a ladle to share with the group to the library on Monday, Jan. 30th at 6:30pm.
