Maple Mania: From Sap to Syrup
Saturday, March 8th 1:00
Daland Memorial Library
Come enjoy a brief history of maple mania in New England. From identifying a sugar maple to actually tapping a tree, this engaging and interactive presentation by guest educator Willa Coroka, will take you through the process of sap to syrup and the process in between while wrapping up naturally, with a taste sampling from a local sugar bush. All materials referenced in this program are included, so fret not if your site does not have access to a live maple…we’ll have a limb to practice on and a drop sheet to catch the mess! Maple flavored refreshments will served. This program is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Library.
