The Friends primary fund-raising is their annual book and plant sale on Spring Gala Day in May. Dues also help support programs and activities. Members are reminded dues are due in January. Annual dues are $15. A sponsor’s dues are $25; donor dues are $50; and once in a lifetime is $250. New members are ALWAYS welcome. Please consider joining this active group of volunteers. Our members receive a subscription to our newsletter. Membership forms are available in every newsletter and at the library or you may click MEMBERSHIP FORM for a printable version.
Meetings
We meet on the fourth Monday of every month (except July and December) at 7:30pm. in the library. Meetings are open to the public.
Newsletter
The Friends of the Library produce a monthly newsletter. You can now choose to be notified by email when the newsletter is posted rather than receive a paper copy. The newsletter includes upcoming activities, minutes from the monthly meeting, town news and lists of new books and other materials at the Library. Check the What’s happening? tab for a link to read the newsletter.
Activities
Through fund raising, the Friends support a variety of library programs including the children’s summer reading program, passes for library patrons to three area museums, treats for trick-or-treaters who visit the library on Halloween, the “Books for Babies’ program, and the elementary school children’s book discussion groups. They also co-sponsor with the Mont Vernon Historical Society an annual New Hampshire Humanities Program that is open to the public at no charge and maintain the library’s gardens.
