Laptime
Laptime is a seasonal program that is designed for children birth through 36 months of age. Focus is on rhyming, singing, movement and short stories.
Storytime
Storytime is designed for children 3 and up. Activities include story sharing and a craft project. Storytime meets weekly for an 8 week session, 3 times a year.
Junior Book Clubs
Join Children’s Library Director JoAnn Kitchel in one of the Daland Memorial Library’s four Junior Book Clubs, for children in 1st through 12th grade. These clubs meet monthly during the school year, and each meeting involves a snack, a craft and book discussion. New members always welcome!
Summer Reading Program
Sign up to read and have fun at the library all summer! This year the theme is “Tails and Tales” and Miss JoAnn has packed the calendar with story times, crafts, activities, of course reading! Children ages newborn-18 are encouraged to drop in to register and start a reading log. Program begins June 5th and ends on August 6th. Free to register! Prizes for all readers!
