Daland Memorial Library

The first gathering of the Mont Vernon Chess Club will be this Thursday, June 20th at 7 p.m in the library. We’ll play as long as folks want, but probably not later than 9. Come as early or as late as you choose and leave whenever you feel like it. There is absolutely no commitment and you can visit every week on Thursday or once a year, it’s up to you! We just received four new chess sets but if you have one it might be a good idea to bring it. We don’t currently have any clocks. The one rule is that anyone younger than high school age must have a parent stay with them. The Mont Vernon Chess Club is sponsored by the Mont Vernon Recreation Committee and is free of charge…what more can you ask for…free fun! 🙂 Wes Sonner is organizing this.
