Keeping your kids reading over the summer is essential to maintaining their reading level. What could be easier than enrolling in the summer reading program?Register your child for our 6 week reading program. Each age level is asked to read a certain number of books. If they/you attain the reading goal, they receive a $5 gift certificate to Toadstool Book shops. If they don’t quite finish, they will still receive a certificate for participating. Once registered, you can choose to sign them up for activities as well – crafts, performers, family trips. Registration begins this Saturday, June 15 @ 8 am.
Think your child is too young? We have a read-to-me level. Children of all ages love to be read to!
Think your child is too old? Kids through high school participate and this year we are raffling off a Kindle Fire just for our teens!
Are you away for the summer? You can email their reading lists to the library.
There will also be weekly raffles for both kids and adults.
Last year we had over 200 kids participate. For our little community that is an enormous turn out. We hope that you will join us this summer. This year’s theme is :” Dig Into Reading!” Look for a surprise in front of the library soon!
