Antarctica Program, May 14, 2pm

April 12, 2011 by dalandlibrary

A free presentation, “Living and Working at the South Pole, Antarctica”, will be given by Curtis Moore on Saturday, May 14 at 2 pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room.  This slide show will illustrate Curtis’ experiences of 5 Austral summers he spent there while working in support of scientific research at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. All are welcome to attend. Following this program, sponsored by the Mont Vernon Historical Society and the Friends of Daland Memorial Library, there will be an opportunity for questions and maybe answers. Curtis is the grandson of the late Russell Stacy and Peg Stacy, formerly of Mont Vernon.
