American Medicine Chest Challenge
Get rid of those UEMs (Unused/Expired Medications)!
On Saturday, November 13th, between 10am and 2pm, bring your expired or unused medicine to the Amherst Fire Station, 177 Amherst Street. This is the local collection site for Amherst, Milford and Mont Vernon. By joining other community members, you will be safely disposing medications that are commonly abused. Sponsored by the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, this event will help to raise awareness about the hazards of keeping UEMs and what damage can be done to water supplies and the ecosystem by improperly flushing them into the waste system. Please bring medications in their original packaging with medication information intact. You may black out your name on the label if you like.
