Although Mont Vernon has actually had a circulating library since June of 1816, we did not have a building to house that collection until August of 1909.
In celebration of the library’s 100th birthday, we invite you to join us on Sunday, November 8 at 1 pm to learn more about what life was like in Mont Vernon one hundred years ago. Richard Quintal will present a talk on the Mont Vernon cemeteries. Who are some of the old families from our community? Keith Pomeroy will follow with a discussion about Mont Vernon’s rich agricultural history. Alice Corbett and Karen MacDonald will summarize the 100 year history of the Daland Memorial Library.
Please join us for a lovely afternoon in Mont Vernon. Refreshments will be served. Free to the public.
